Bali Hai Selected by GolfWeek to Host First Vegas Hold‘em Shootout
Las Vegas, NV - 4/15/2005 - GolfWeek magazine, one of the nation’s leading golf publications, has selected the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas to host their first ever “Hold’em Shootout.” This will be a two-person golf and poker tournament held September 11 – 14, 2005.
The tournament will include three nights of Texas Hold’em plus two rounds of golf at Bali Hai Golf Club, recognized as one of the top resort courses in America and the only championship course located right on the Vegas Strip. Each night a separate Texas Hold’em poker tournament will be hosted by Bally’s Hotel with an estimated poker purse of $25,000. During the days, there will be a 36-hole, two-man best ball competition, featuring a gross and net division.
“With golf during the day and poker at night this tournament should be fun filled and action packed.” said Armand Cimaroli, Tournament Director. “The scheduled events and the settings of Bally’s Hotel and the Bali Hai Golf Club are sure to make this a tournament not to be missed.”
Tournament entry fee is $1,895 per person and includes a $500 buy-in for the poker tournament, three-nights accommodations at Bally’s Hotel, two rounds of golf at Bali Hai, opening and closing night reception and drinks during the poker tournaments.
