Desert Pines’ New Course Conditions Continue To Receive Raves Las Vegas, NV - 3/1/2008 - The Desert Pines Golf Club, which is often referred as the "Pinehurst of Vegas," was closed for renovations from April 1 through September 6, 2007. Part of that renovation process involved completely rebuilding all 18 greens and topping them with new bent grass putting surfaces. Originally patterned after those at August National, the new greens have added a new dimension to this challenging layout. As a Dye-design it has always had those "Dye-abolical" challenges on the greens, but with bent grass it is creating a tour quality experience as well. Industry professionals and golf writers all report the renovation efforts to have been extremely successful resulting in outstanding conditions of the course: 18 new bent grass greens that putt pure.
