Las Vegas, NV - 3/15/2006 - Walters Golf announced an exciting, new Pro-Am Golf/Poker Tournament for November 5 – 9, 2006. Limited to the first 30 teams, the tournament plans cash payout for the Golf of $10,000 and for the Poker of $15,000.
According to Walters Golf Director of National Sales, Brennan Blednick, “The tournament is not designed to replace existing Las Vegas Pro Ams, but to add an alternative date for PGA Sectionals to have a tournament in Las Vegas. We’ve had many requests from PGA Sections to offer a fall date and with the rising popularity of poker, we decided to combined the two,” said Blednick.
As an incentive for PGA Pros to go through their Section, the tournament will offer discounts and cash payment for each team signed up by their Section. All Pros will receive an appearance fee as well as complimentary trip by bringing four amateur players.
The tournament package of $8,200 per team includes 4 nights at the popular Mirage Hotel & Casino, three rounds of golf, initial buy-in at the Poker tournament, Opening and Awards ceremonies, breakfasts, lunches, gift bag and transportation each day from the course. Golf will be comprised of one round each at Bali Hai Golf Club, Royal Links Golf Club and Stallion Mountain Country Club.
